B is for Black Phoebe

These birds are found in the marshes of the Western US. The scientific name of this bird is Sayornis nigricians. Some areas I found it in the Bay Area are san Bourn County Park and Charleston Slough.This guy is 7 inches long. Their calls are high and thin.
